Embrace Everything That Is Different

As a teenager, Rick Genest was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He received treatment and then spent a long time waiting, wondering, and thinking lot about life, death and living as a individual. Enter Rico the Zombie. At the age of 19, Rick began his full-body tattoo project and founded a travelling freak show entitled Lucifer’s Blasphemous Mad Macabre Torture Carnival. And now, thanks to Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga’s stylist and creative director of fashion label Thierry Mugler, Rick has become a fashion icon and is currently taking over the scene. “I embrace the idea of everything that’s different and help people open their mind," Rick says. “I will always be who I am and do what I do."
