The Artist's Revolution

David Terranova is a visual artist based in New York who produces left-field videos for the music and fashion industry. Initially a self-taught programmer building games and websites for the advertising industry, David developed a passion for the East London club scene that inspired him to begin experimenting with photo and video. With his production REBELRAVE for the techno label Crosstown Rebels, he has made a splash worldwide. For David, pinpointing a single person or subject that he considers avant-garde is a difficult task in an age when groundbreaking concepts and innovative people come and go daily. He observes that we are living in a time where becoming an "artist" is much more accessible to people who twenty years ago would never stand a chance of having an artistic career. Today’s technology has triggered a new era in the arts, an “Artist’s Revolution,” which is driven by the power of the individual. To David, this new era is itself avant-garde, breaking boundaries like never before.
