Quest for Truth
Rachel Kolar considers herself more as a performance artist than a musician. The shows of her band 'He’s my brother she’s my sister' are fully entertaining. The band plays their soul and folk inspired tunes to the beat of a tap dancer and with the energy and passion of a life spectacle. Rachel moved away from Los Angeles’s hip Silver Lake neighborhood to the retreat city of Ojai, east of Santa Barbara, where she lives in tune with nature with a river and mountains right in front of her house.
During her theater time she met Satya Bhabha – a Yale graduate, actor and theater director who’s approach to work is driven by a constant quest for truth. Rachel is impressed by the Satya’s commitment to always be truthful especially in the world of arts where a lot of people wear a mask. When Satya plays a part he is more than believable and in his work as a director he manages to let the actors be themselves. In 2012 Satya will embody Saleem Sinai in the Indian epic 'Midnight’s Children' based on Salman Rushdie’s novel of the same name.
