London-based Susannah Lau, a.k.a. Susie Bubble, is one of the most successful fashion bloggers in Europe. Her passion for clothing, textiles, and trends originates from reading books about costume design and its history. Initially, Susie simply combined textiles and materials that wouldn't normally go together. Then she began to write about what she was doing and soon became a source of inspiration for many online readers. Susie gained so much attention that she was elected official blog of Dazed & Confused Magazine. For The Avant/Garde Diaries, Susie introduced us to Icelandic photographer Saga Sig. Saga tells stories of mystical playgrounds and natural dreamlands. When shooting fashion, Saga attempts to peer beneath the surface of the obvious. The results are stunning moments that juxtapoz London’s modern city life with the green volcanic landscape of Iceland.
