Amsterdam-based artist Germaine Kruip focuses her work on the interplay of light and shadow. Her installations are famous for becoming part of their surroundings. For The Avant/Garde Diaries, she takes us to the Amsterdam Kunstverein. Kunstverein is a domestic franchise with locations also in New York and Milan. It is a functioning curatorial office that offers presentations, lectures, screenings, and independent publishing.
