Telse Bus is often mistaken as a chef or caterer. Although food is the essential ingredient of her work, she is not interested in serving culinary delights. Telse is an artist and her work consists of observing what happens when food is fed to a group of people. The outcome is never just a creative dish, but a social sculpture. “When you invite people to come together and eat at a table with plates and silverware, you will evoke an entirely different experience than when having them sit on the floor and eat with their hands.”

In a same way, she sees the work of her friend Kim Berit Heppelmann, who produces fashion but doesn’t see herself as a fashion designer. “Kim’s clothes are not meant to enhance the way people look and she is not interested in starting trends,” Telse told us. “Kim’s work all about creating feelings within the person, who is wearing the clothes. It’s about creating an emotional sculpture.” The two artists, who have just met each other a few months ago, decided to join forces and realize a truly avant-garde edible fashion collection in fall.
