The Avant/Garde Diaries Project Space: Surahn Live

372 Broome is the home of The Avant/Garde Diaries’ editorial offices as well as the creative initiative’s dynamic project space, host to exhibitions, screenings, lectures, and performances. We recently hosted an acoustic set with pop singer Surahn Sidhu, showcasing the space as an intimate and informal crossroads that serves as a real-life incubator for the inspiring people and innovative ideas we encounter in our work.

Surahn’s extensive musical background includes touring with Australian sensation Empire of the Sun as well as writing and producing tracks for Usher. Fortunately, the Aussie native found time along the way to write and record his own tracks. For his performance at 372 Broome, Surahn performed a moving, slowed-down acoustic set on the eve of the official release of his EP, out now on DFA Records.
