BERLIN: curated by Raf Simons

For the launch of The Avant/Garde Diaries, fashion icon Raf Simons presented “Transmission1,” a three-day festival that took place from July 15 to 17 in the Berlin Congress Center on Alexanderplatz. We asked the curator who or what do you consider ahead of our time or avant-garde? Under Raf's direction, eleven artists presented their take on the world of today and tomorrow. Highlights included the Michael Clark Company, Goose, These New Puritans, and the mighty Fischerspooner, who performed twice during the festival.
