David Jacob Kramer co-founded LA's Family Bookstore in 2007. Selling zines, artist books, and contemporary literature, the store also doubles as a project space that hosts readings, performances, and exhibitions. In all of these endeavors, Family cultivates the effervescent feeling of youth and of having discovered something new and inspiring. David's writing about books and art have appeared in the Believer, Vice, and Paris, LA. He was also a guest editor of Paper Magazine, as well as for books by artists Peter Sutherland and Doug Aitken.
